EXERCISE LOVE OVER RIGHTS, 1 Corinthians 8

-
“TO THE SINGLE AND THE MARRIED - PRAYFULLY MEDITATING 1 CORINTHIANS 7”
-
KNOWLEDGE AND LOVE
-
LORD, you said that the knowledge we all possess “puffs up,” while love builds up.
Whoever loves You is known by You.
-
IDOLS
-
An idol is nothing at all in the world. There are many so-called “gods” and “lords.”
-
ONE GOD
But we know there is no God but one.
-
There is one God, the Father,
from whom all things came,
and for whom we live;
-
And
-
There is but one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things came,
and through whom we live
-
But not everyone possesses this knowledge. Some people are still so accustomed to idols.
-
FOOD “SACRIFICED TO IDOLS”
-
When some people eat sacrificial food, they think of it as having been sacrificed to a god. Since their conscience is weak, it is defiled.
-
FOOD AND GOD
-
Food does not bring us near to You. We are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.
-
DON’T BECOME A STUMBLING BLOCK
-
We have knowledge from You concerning the right to eat meat, but You want us to be careful that the exercise of our rights does not become a stumbling block to someone with a weak conscience. Therefore, this is how we ought to know, that we should not wound their weak conscience. Becoming a stumbling block for them to fall is sinning against Christ.
-
PRAYING FOR OUR LOST LOVED ONES
-
LORD, we think the spiritual lesson You are teaching us is to be gentle and considerate of others that still don’t understand our freedom in Christ. You don’t want for us to be proud and forward and wound another’s spirit. But rather, You want for us to condescend to those that are weak and vulnerable. You want for us to exercise love over exercising our rights, esteeming the spiritual welfare of others over our self indulgence.
-
Help us Counselor, to exercise love and fulfill the royal law. May we become all things to all people that we may win some to Christ. We pray that we be soul winners of our own personal Jerusalem, our lost loved ones. For Your kingdom is not a matter of eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Thank You, LORD, we pray in Jesus name.

WIVES FROM THE DAUGHTERS OF CANAAN

-
"If the righteous are barely saved, what will happen to godless sinners?" 1 Peter 4:18
-
Do not be deceived: "Bad company corrupts good morals." - 1 Corinthians 15:33
-
HOSANNA! Son of David save our lost loved ones. Save them from getting entangled with the godless. If the righteous scarcely be saved, what will happen to our lost loved ones?
-
Esau, Jacob’s twin brother took his wives from the daughters of Canaan, which strictly was forbidden by You. He no doubt was swept away by their physical beauty, provoked by their sensuality, and taken by their charm. Being a lover of godless women, he fell in his own trap. He didn’t choose a virtuous woman with a gentle and quiet spirit--which is priceless in Your sight. Esau did not follow his father Isaac’s example of obeying Abraham to find a proper wife to marry.
-
Esau‘s wives “made life bitter for Isaac and Rebecca.” Spare us, Father God. On the other hand, Jacob waited and worked 14 years to marry the love of his life, Rachel!
-
LORD, You command believers to marry only in the Lord. When our loved ones are lost themselves and their heart is in defiance against You, their vision is short and superficial. Deliver them from becoming one flesh through fornication or adultery. Deliver them from an ungodly marriage against Your will.
-
In view of eternity, Esau would have made choices that were right with You. His descendants excelled as “chiefs,” and “kings” in Edom. In comparison, his twin brother Jacob’s sons were shepherds for generations, and were in bondage in Egypt for 400 years! But through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob’s lineage came our Savior Jesus. Now the promises made to Abraham have also been inherited by Your church--the spiritual kings and priests of the earth--Your servants that will reign with Your Son, the Lord Jesus!
-
“If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us;”
2 Timothy 2:12
-
LORD, You said that through faith and patience Your church shall inherit the promises. The world mocks, “Where is Your God?!” Today Edom’s prestigious fame has disappeared from the face of the earth, but everyone has heard of Israel, still making headlines today.
-
Without You reigning in the heart, there is the need for instant gratification.
-
“See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled; that there be no immoral or godless person like Esau, who sold his own birthright for a single meal. For you know that even afterwards, when he desired to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought for it with tears” Hebrews 12:15-17
-
Esau wanted to kill Jacob for deceiving their father Isaac and taking Esau‘s birthright and blessing. But LORD, there was still hope for Esau! He and his brother Jacob “made up” after a 20-yr. separation. Together they buried their father, Isaac.
-
LORD, the choices we make, big or small, will become our personal history, it is a legacy that we will leave our descendants. What legacy Esau left--an example and warning for others not to follow. And what legacy Jacob left --though he himself had his flaws, he deceived and then he was deceived himself by his wife Rebecca‘s father--but then Jacob had an encounter with You! O LORD, we pray our lost loved ones also have an encounter with You that will change their lives and turn the course of a path of destruction to paths of righteousness!
-
LORD, You said to set our eyes on the eternal, not the temporal. Esau traded his birthright for a bowl of soup! Those gorgeous girls he married, if they got to old age, saw their better days of vanity, and Esau was left with the “real” wives of Canaan, beneath skin deep.
-
HOSANNA, Jesus of Nazareth, have mercy on our lost loved ones and on us. Save them, Father God, we pray in Jesus name, amen.

THE SEXUALLY IMMORAL, 1 Corinthians 6

-
LAWSUITS AMONG BELIEVERS
-
LORD, disputes among believers is a bad testimony before the world. Give Your people the spirit of wisdom in these and all matters. The Apostle Paul by inspiration of Your Spirit used the word “dare” to take these disputes before the ungodly for judgment, instead of before godly counsel.
-
You’ve given Your people wisdom liberally to judge all things with the mind of Christ, and even “to judge the world.” and angels! Your church ought to be competent and wise to judge from the trivial cases and the things of this life.
-
Disputes among believers is shameful to be ruled by those whose way of life is scorned in the church, brother taking lawsuits against another to court--and this in front of unbelievers. This is of itself a defeat. Your wisdom says it is preferable to be wronged and cheated. And this should not happen between the brethren because wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God.
-
DO NOT BE DECEIVED
-
LORD, Your Word warns no one be deceived, for neither shall the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor homosexuals nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
-
THE SANCTIFIED
-
Your redeemed were such as the above, but now are washed, sanctified, justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Your Spirit, our God.
-
RIGHTS
-
Your church has rights, but not everything is beneficial and it should not be mastered by anything. The things of this world will be destroyed.
-
SEXUAL IMMORALITY
-
Your body, the church, however, is not meant for sexual immorality, but for You, Lord, and You for the body. By Your power You raised the Lord Jesus from the dead, and He will raise us also. The bodies of Your church are members of Christ Himself and they should never be united to a prostitute, for the one that unites with a prostitute is one with their body. For it is written:
-
“The two will become one flesh.”
-
But whoever is united with the Lord is one with Him in spirit.
-
LORD, You want for Your people to flee sexual immorality. You said, all things a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. The bodies of Your people are temples of the Holy Spirit, Who lives within each believer, Whom Your church received from You. We do not belong to ourselves, we were bought with a price, therefore we will honor You LORD with our bodies.
-
PRAYING FOR LOST LOVED ONES
-
LORD, we do not want to confuse nor be a bad testimony before our lost loved ones that we want to see saved. We want to heed Your counsel not to display disputes among Your church before unbelievers, especially, not to be ruled by an ungodly judge, and these matters ought to be resolved within Your church.
-
LORD, we also want them to see the difference Christ has made in our lives. We ought to live sanctified lives.
-
LORD we want for our lost loved ones to be one with Christ too and for Your Spirit to live within them. As new creatures in Christ, Your Spirit will give them the power to be children of light and no longer to live a life mastered by sin, depriving them to inherit Your kingdom. Save them, LORD, we pray in Jesus name.

THE LORD WILL LOOSE THOSE WHO ARE APPOINTED TO DEATH

"For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary, from heaven did the Lord behold the earth, to hear the sighing and groaning of the prisoner, to loose those who are appointed to death."
-Psalm 102:19-20
-
LORD, we pray for our lost loved ones that have been cast into prison for having broken Your laws. They have been tried and found guilty and are appointed to die by Your judgment.
You hear their sighs and groans in their murky and dismal cells.
-
LORD, we know Jesus Christ already paid for their sins by receiving the punishment for them if they believe and receive him as their personal Savior. They can be redeemed and set free. Only He can loose their shackles of sin and give them liberty. His obedience will make them righteous.
-
LORD, send Your servants prepared with blessed feet to take to our lost loved ones the Good News, the powerful gospel news, that mean salvation to them. The gates of hell will not prevail against them. Our lost loved ones will not perish, but have everlasting life. This is our prayer for them, in Jesus name. Thank You, LORD.

SAVE THEM AND THEY SHALL BE SAVED

-
“O Lord, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living waters. Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. Behold, they say unto me, Where is the word of the Lord? let it come now” (Jeremiah 17:13-15).
-
LORD GOD, hope of Israel, hope of all sinners, we pray for our lost loved ones that have forsaken and rejected the Lord, the fountain of living waters.
-
We pray they are not “written off” as outcasts and left out of Your kingdom forever. We want for their names to be written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
-
We hope with all our heart that they will awaken and be conscious of their need to be saved and throw themselves on the mercy seat of Christ for pardon of their sins. We pray Your Holy Spirit will fully convince them of Your power to heal them and that they be well assured.
-
Save our lost loved ones from the corruption of the world and from the weapons of the enemy aimed to destroy them. We stand in their gap under our great high priest, the Lord Jesus Christ, that no weapon that is formed against them shall prosper. Save them for Your glory.
-
We pray they cry out to You, “Lord, save me!” We know You will immediately stretch forth Your hand to catch them. You will not let them sink in sin.
-
Heal them, O Lord, and they shall be healed. Save them, and they shall be saved. There are none saved but whom the Lord saves. They are helpless without You. You are their only cure for their sin disease. May they experience Your forgiveness. Those whom You saved are saved for Your purpose. We desire for You to rejoice before Your holy angels when You hear them say, “You are my praise,” when they experience salvation in Christ.
-
Father God, we pray Your grace upon us that love them. Help us in all our trials, and may we all rejoice together for their salvation, for You are our praise!
-
LORD, we also pray for bodily healing for all that need it. We know there is healing for all that come to You, just as there is salvation.
-
We pray in Jesus name, amen.

SEPARATING THE SHEEP FROM THE GOATS, 1 Corinthians 5

CHURCH MEMBERS THAT ARE DEPRAVED
-
Father God, it is sad that among church people there is sin too shameful even to be tolerated by non-believers. LORD, we know you forgive all sins where there is repentance. Your word says there are those that flaunt, rather than shun such behavior. Sin ought to be addressed and rebuked in the church. It should be lamented and not condoned. Your Word is the judge. We pray Your Holy Spirit will convict people that engage in depraved behavior by the exhortation of Your word, and that repentance and a hunger for righteousness will immediately take place so that the spirit of this person may be saved on the day of the Lord.
-
EXHORTATION
-
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. -Hebrews 3:13
-
LORD, we pray for the preachers, that Your servants will preach and exhort Your truth with the power of the Spirit, calling that which is good, good, and that which is evil, evil. We pray there will be true repentance and that the old yeast with malice and wickedness will be gotten rid of, and there be a new unleavened batch of sincerity and truth. Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed for our sins, and the redeemed should be saying so and rejoicing.
-
SEPARATING THE SHEEP FROM THE GOATS
-
Father, You make a distinction between the people of the world that are immoral, greedy, swindlers or idolaters, and those in the church that do the same. Those in the world need to hear the gospel, repent, and get saved. But to be in the church and claim to be a Christian and continue in sexual immorality, greed, idolatry; and to slander, and be a swindler or drunkard, is not permitted by You, and neither do You want for there to be such permissiveness in Your church. You said not to associate with the sexually immoral that claim to be Christians.
-
PRAYING FOR OUR LOST LOVED ONES
-
Father, those that don’t put their eyes on You, but fix their eyes on church people are turned off from going to church when they learn of sexually immoral people in the church and other such lewd behavior. We pray for our lost loved ones that the power of Your Holy Ghost will fall on them and they not be distracted by those in the church that have a bad testimony. Deliver our lost loved ones from stumbling. Usher them into Your kingdom, LORD, for greater is He that is in Your people than he that is in the world. We thank You LORD that the gates of hell will not prevail against Your church and that many souls will be saved when they see Jesus lifted up in the earth. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.

THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS POWER, 1 Corinthians 4

-
SERVANTS OF CHRIST
-
LORD, Your servants are entrusted with the mysteries You have revealed. Because of this trust given, we pray Your servants are proven faithful. There should be no concern of being judged by any human standards. Though there is a clear conscience, that does not prove innocence. No one can even judge oneself because it is You who judges. Neither should anyone judge anything before the appointed time and must wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from You.
-
LORD, we do not want to do anything in vain, or for the wrong motives.
-
"DO NOT GO BEYOND WHAT IS WRITTEN."
-
LORD, for the benefit of Your servants and that of the hearers, we pray Your Holy Spirit bring to remembrance the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written." and we pray no one has any pride in the name of their denomination or its leaders and have pride as being their followers, putting one against the others.
-
Everyone should have the same mind and thoughts according to the truth received from You, and there should be no boasting about possessions, riches, and reigning.
-
TRUE APOSTLES
-
You gave us apostles and it seems they are displayed at the end of the procession, like those condemned to die in the arena and made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to human beings.
-
Some boast they are wise in Christ, strong, and honored; but the apostles are fools for Christ, weak, and dishonored, hungry and thirsty, in rags, brutally treated, and homeless, having worked hard with their own hands. Besides this, being cursed, yet blessing, persecuted and enduring it; when slandered, answering kindly. These apostles became the scum of the earth, the garbage of the world, and there are servants of Yours like this, even now!
-
THE CHRISTIAN LIFE
-
LORD the Apostle Paul wrote this by inspiration of Your Spirit not to shame but to warn Your church as dear children. There are many that are preaching and teaching through the media, but we are particularly thankful to You for the one who personally leads another to Christ through the gospel and makes disciples.
-
We pray our Helper and Teacher will guide and inspire Your servants to live the way of life in Christ Jesus that agrees with Your teaching.
-
THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS POWER
-
LORD, deliver us from the devil's lies that we should be arrogant and speak arrogance, and yet without Your power. For Your kingdom is not a matter of talk but of power. LORD, we prefer to receive Your love with a gentle spirit over the rod of discipline.
-
PRAYING FOR OUR LOST LOVED ONES
-
FATHER GOD, we pray You will give Your servants the assignment to preach Your gospel to our lost loved ones with the power of Your kingdom. May the servants that You give these assignments to obey You and go and speak Your truth to our lost loved ones that will make them free. We pray in Jesus name. Amen

HOW TO BUILD, 1 Corinthians 3

WORLDLY CHRISTIANS
-
Father we pray help for our brothers and sisters that are still worldly, infants in Christ. They are given the milk of the Word because they cannot eat solid spiritual food because they're still not ready for it.
-
BEING WORLDLY
-
LORD, in Your eyes, jealousy and quarreling is being worldly. When we segregate and identify ourselves by the name of our church building, group, or leader we are acting as mere humans and are not in Your will and power.
-
THE JOB OF THE CHURCH
-
All Your people and pastors are only Your servants, through whom we came to believe, as You assigned to each his task. One planted the seed, another watered it, but You are the one that is making it grow. Your Word says neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only You, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor, for we are co-workers in Your service; we are Your field and Your building. All things are ours. And we are of Christ, and Christ is of God.
-
BUILDING WITH CARE
-
It is by Your grace given to Your servants that one laid the foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. You want each to build with care, for no one can lay any other foundation than Jesus Christ (1 Cor 3:11). Our work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light and will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person's work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss, but yet will be saved--even though only as one escaping through the flames. LORD, give us wisdom to analyze what we are using to build on this foundation, if it is gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw.
-
WISE BY GOD'S STANDARDS
-
Father, deliver us from the deception of the devil. We can not be wise by the standards of this age, for the wisdom of this world is foolishness in Your sight. We should become "fools" so that we may become wise. As it is written:
-
"He catches the wise in their craftiness"
-
and again, "The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile."
-
PRAYING FOR OUR LOST LOVED ONES
-
Father God, as Christians, we do not want to be a stumbling block and keep others from coming to Christ because of our ungodly behavior. As it is, Father, Christians are accused of every thing without a cause, let alone for a cause. We know and are thankful that You forgave us of the sins of our past and the sins we repented of, but the devil is the accuser of the brethren.
-
LORD, we pray Your grace for those You assign to our lost loved ones. Give them Your wisdom, and may they receive and use it. We pray they will believe in You through their testimony of You. The Lord Jesus is praying for them and for our lost loved ones that are hearing and believing the gospel. We pray for the one who plants the seed and for the one that waters it. May each be careful to lay the true foundation which is Jesus Christ, and there is no other. May the purpose of the laborers be the same, that our lost loved ones believe in You through Your Son and be saved. Protect and nurture the seed, and make it grow healthy, we pray, Father God, that it will produce the fruit of Your Spirit.
-
Father, may we not forget to obey the words of Your Son, the Lord Jesus:
-
"By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" John 13:35
-
In Jesus name we pray, amen.

HOW TO PREACH, 1 Corinthians 2

HOW NOT TO PREACH
-
Thank You LORD that we do not depend on human eloquence or human wisdom to present Your testimony. Even the well-educated apostle Paul was resolved to know nothing except Jesus Christ and him crucified. He said he came to the church with weakness and great fear and trembling. The preaching of Your message is not with wise and persuasive words.
-
The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from You, but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
-
LORD, we do not want to trust the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. None of the rulers in Jesus day understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
-
HOW TO PREACH
-
The preaching of Your message is with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that those that believe will not rest on human wisdom, but on Your power.
-
This is what we should speak in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words.
-
GOD’S WISDOM REVEALED BY THE SPIRIT
-
As it is written:
-
“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”
the things God has prepared for those who love him
-
For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them?
With Your Spirit within us, we can makes judgments about all things, but we are not subject to merely human judgments, for:
-
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ.
-
Thank You LORD that You have not given us the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from You, so that we may understand what You have freely given us.
-
LORD we pray Your Spirit our Teacher will cause us to understand Your message of wisdom which You say is for the mature. The Spirit searches all things, even Your deep things. Reveal Your things to us by Your Spirit, for no one knows Your thoughts, except Your Spirit.
-
Your wisdom is a mystery that has been hidden. You destined Your wisdom for our glory before time began.
-
“Who has known the mind of the Lord
so as to instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ.
-
PRAYER FOR OUR LOST LOVED ONES
-

We pray Your Spirit leads our lost loved ones to hear the message of Jesus Christ and him crucified. Father God we pray they hear this message with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power and that they believe and rest on Your power. Give them Your Spirit so that they come to accept the things that come from You. LORD, give them understanding and discernment through the Spirit.
-
We ask in Jesus Name, amen.

PREACHING THAT SAVES, 1 Corinthians 1

GOD CALLED HIS CHURCH
-
Thank You LORD, that by Your will You called Your church and sanctified us in Christ Jesus. You called us to be Your holy people, together with all those everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ--their Lord and ours.
-
THANKING GOD FOR GIVING US GRACE IN CHRIST JESUS
-
We always thank You because of the grace given us in Christ Jesus,
for in Him:
-
we have been enriched in every way
--with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge.
You have confirmed our testimony about Christ among us. Therefore, we do not lack any spiritual gift as we eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed.
-
BLESSED ASSURANCE
-
You will also keep us firm to the end, so that we will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. You are faithful, who have called us into fellowship with Your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
-
PRAYING FOR CHURCH ABOUT DIVISIONS
-
LORD, we pray for Your body of believers in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all the church agree with one another IN WHAT YOU SAY and that there be no divisions among Your people, but that the church be perfectly united in mind and thought.
-
We pray there be no quarrels over the leadership of Your church. Paul the apostle was not crucified for the church, so we cannot say we follow Paul, nor Peter. Following Christ should not mean Christ is divided.
-
POWER IN THE PREACHING OF THE CROSS
-
Christ sent His church to preach the gospel. There is power in the preaching of the cross of Christ, therefore, preachers should not depend on the wisdom of this world and eloquence.
-
Father God, the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is Your power.
-
For it is written:
-
“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate.”
-
PRAYING FOR OUR LOST LOVED ONES THAT THEY HEAR AND BELIEVE THE MESSAGE THAT SAVES

-
Father God, may our lost loved ones hear the message of the cross with Your power. Protect them from following pseudo “Christianity,“ from those who act like they are wise, from deceptive teachers of the law, and from vain philosophers.
-
The world has not known You through its wisdom. Jews demand signs, and the preaching of the cross is a stumbling block to them, and Greeks look for wisdom. But it pleased You through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe.
-
May our lost loved ones hear the preaching of Christ crucified, because the preaching of Christ crucified is not human wisdom or strength, but the preaching of Christ crucified is full of power, Your power and Your wisdom.
-
THE CALLED
-
LORD, we thank You whom You called. Not many of us were wise by human standards, not many were influential, not many were of noble birth. But You chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, You chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. You chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things--and the things that are not--to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before You. Christ has become for us wisdom from You--that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.
-
Therefore, as it is written:
-
“Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”
-
PRAYING FOR BLESSING
-
We pray grace and peace to us from You, God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
(From 1 Corinthians 1)

THE LORD WILL MAKE A WAY SOMEHOW

The Lord Will Make A Way Somehow
-
Like a ship that’s tossed and driven,
Battered by an angry sea;
When the storms of life are raging,
And their fury falls on me.
-
I wonder what I have done,
That makes this race so hard to run;
Then I say to my soul, take courage,
The Lord will make a way somehow.
-
============================
The Lord will make a way somehow,
When beneath the cross I bow,
He will take away each sorrow,
Let Him have your burdens now.
============================
-
When the loads bear down so heavy
The weight is shown upon my brow,
There’s a sweet relief in knowing
The Lord will make a way somehow.
-
Try to do the best in service,
Try to do the best you can;
When I choose to do the right thing
Evil’s present on every hand.
-
I look up and wonder why
That good fortune passed me by;
Then I say to my soul, be patient,
The Lord will make a way somehow.
-
Often there’s misunderstanding,
Out of all the good I do;
Go to friends for consolation,
And I find them complaining, too.
-
So many nights I toss in pain,
Wondering what the day will bring;
Then I say to my heart, don’t worry,
The Lord will make a way somehow.
-
This pilgrim’s journey may not be easy,
You did not say it would be.
Sometimes I get so lonely and disheartened,
And I just don't want to be bothered.
-
==============================
Then I began to think
Lord what I have done,
to make this race so hard for me to run.
Then I say to my soul, soul take courage
The Lord will make a way somehow
The Lord will make a way somehow
Somehow, Somehow, Somehow, Somehow
==============================
-
There’s a sweet relief in knowing
The Lord will make a way somehow.
I know He's coming through
Yeah, somehow
-
He's coming through for you and me
It may not be today
It may not be tomorrow
But He’s coming through somehow
Cause He is just God like that
-
He never let you down before
You can’t throw in the towel
Cause He’s gonna make a way
I know He’s gonna make a way
Somehow....somehow...
-
He did it for Daniel in the lions’ den
He did it for the Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace
He did it for Mary and Martha
When he raised Lazarus from the dead
Don’t forget about the five thousand hungry souls he fed
Oooh Lord
-
I know he’s gonna do it somehow
Ooooh
-
Just a minute here
We ‘re gonna think about the things He's done for us
I dont know about you,
But my mind goes back when I was sick in my body
and could not get up
But he healed my body
and sent my sickness to hell,
I said he came through for me
And that’s why I gotta sing
Ooooh
-
Sometimes I get so happy,
When I think about all God has done,
I just say ooooh...ooooh

I know He’s coming through,
I know He’s coming through,
I know He’s coming through,

DELIVERANCE FROM INTOXICATING DRINK

Matthew 9:
10 While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.
11 When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”
12 On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.
13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
-
PRAYING TO GOD AS GAP FINDERS AND NOT FAULT FINDERS
-
Father God, deliver our lost loved ones from what leads to intoxication . In Your Word You call the good, good; the bad You also call bad. The world calls the good, bad; and the bad, good. Have mercy on our lost loved ones and on us that love them.
-
We know one thing leads to another. The one in skid row began with drinking for the first time. You show us from Your Word how wrong this is because You love us and don’t want for us to go that way.
-
WARNING TO GOD’S PEOPLE
-
Noah, got drunk and immorality and family trouble followed, and the same with Lot.
-
You commanded the priests not to drink so that they could tell the difference between what was holy and the unholy.
-
Priests and prophets stagger and reel from beer and wine, err in vision, and stumble in judgment.
-
You reprove princes for drinking. Israelites are eager to follow false teachers who prophesy plenty of intoxicating drinks.
-
Christians are to be alert and self-controlled, belonging to the day. Drunkards belong to the night and darkness. The past life of drunkenness and carousing has no place in the Christian’s life.
-
An overseer is to be disciplined. Elders are to be temperate, sober, and not near any wine. Deacons are to be worthy of respect and not drinkers. Deacons’ wives are to be temperate and sober
-
The older men and older women of the church are to be temperate and not addicted to wine.
-
A drinking servant is unprepared for Jesus the Lord’s return. We do not want to do anything that will hurt our testimony as a believer. And if a Christian brother is a drinker, You don’t want association with him as he is drinking.
-
THE DRUNKARD
-
HOSANNA, merciful Savior, we call upon the name of Jesus for help for our lost loved ones that are engaged in this destructive habit of intoxicating drink.
-
O LORD, rescue the souls of our lost loved ones.
-
A drunkard son is stubborn and rebellious.
-
Your wisdom says that intoxicating wine is like the poison of serpents, the cruel venom of asps. Alcoholic drink is like a serpent, and stings like an adder.
-
Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging.
-
We pray that our lost loved ones will be among the wise, and not among the drinkers of alcoholic beverages that lead to drunkenness and causes poverty, woe, sorrow, fighting, babbling, wounds without cause, and red eyes, drunken men that stagger in their vomit. Drinkers’ tables are covered with vomit and filth.
-
Alcoholic drinks also cause the drinker to have strange and adulterous thoughts and to have wrong desires and not be reformed, making the drinker unstable. It makes the drinker insensitive to pain so that he does not see the warnings. Alcohol perverts good judgment. Intoxicating wine takes away intelligence. A man is betrayed by wine. Drinking leads to shame.
-
OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST WARNED AGAINST DRUNKENNESS
-
Alcohol is habit forming and addictive. The future of those that choose to drink looks hopeless to them. Drinkers seek their own gain and expect tomorrow to be just like today. We pray that our lost loved ones flee the temptations of intoxicating drinks, and not even look at them as Your Word says in Proverbs 23:31.
-
You also warn us with accounts in the Bible of those that died or were killed after drunken sprees. In proverbs 4:17, alcoholic drink is called the wine of violence.
-
Intoxicating drink still does not satisfy. Those that pride themselves that they can hold it will only find woes. Proud drunkards shall be trodden down. Drinking wine was combined with praising false gods.
-
GOD’S JUDGEMENT TO THE DRUNKARD
-
The worst thing, is that drunkards cannot escape the consequences when You judge. Drunkards will not inherit Your kingdom. You pronounced woe on the drunkards of Epharaim. The enemy is judged for selling girls for wine. Israel is condemned for forcing Nazarites to drink wine. The drunkards of Nineveh will be destroyed by You. You said, “Woe to him that gives his neighbor drink.” Drunkards awake to see Your judgment.
-
ABSTAIN FROM INTOXICATING DRINK
-
Daniel refused the king’s intoxicating wine and was blessed for it along with his abstaining friends. LORD, we agree not walk in drunkenness or immorality. In contrast to being drunk with wine, we will be filled with the Spirit.
-
PRAYING FOR OUR LOST LOVED ONES THAT DRINK

-
We have hope in Your name. Save them Father, we intercede for them under our great high priest, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is praying for us, Your house of prayer. You are our lost loved ones only hope to deliver them and heal them and save them. Those that have erred in spirit shall come to understanding, they will come to their own border, they will all be taught by You, and great shall be their peace. "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool." In Jesus name we pray, amen.
