PRAYING FOR OUR LOST LOVED ONES (Romans 11-16)

-
PRAYING FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST AND THE SALVATION OF OUR LOST LOVED ONES
GOD’S MINISTERS--AND--WOMEN MINISTERS
NO PREJUDICE!
-
FATHER GOD, we pray Your BODY commends one another to each other, as the Apostle Paul commended a sister in the Lord--Phoebe--a deacon of the church of Cenchreae. He asked the church to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of Your people, and to give her any help she needed from them because she had been a benefactor of many people, including the Apostle Paul. LORD, then Paul goes on to acknowledge Priscilla, another woman; also, Mary, who worked very hard for the church, and Tryphena and Tryphosa, Persis, women who worked hard in the Lord; and Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother, who had been a mother to the Apostle Paul, too.
-
FATHER GOD, we pray there will be no prejudice in Your body because of race, gender, status, age…. Your people--the church --are all co-workers in Christ Jesus. Some even risk their lives for one another, and we are grateful for them. Some brethren for various reasons known to You, LORD, also meet in houses.
-
CHRISTIANS THAT ARE GOVERNMENT WORKERS
-
LORD, we pray grace for Christians that work for the government. The Apostle Paul acknowledges, Erastus, who was the city’s director of public works, and a brother in the Lord.
-
IMPRISONED CHRISTIANS
-
Father God, may we remember to pray for and also support as Your Spirit leads those fellow Christians that are in prison. There are some in prison that are outstanding among the Christian body and are seasoned Christians.
-
PEOPLE NEED TO SEE THAT GOD’S PEOPLE LOVE EACH OTHER
-
FATHER GOD, that first-to-be convert in a remote part of the world, needs to see that Your people love one another, and the same with our lost loved ones. We want to be dear friends in the Lord with the rest of Your body.
-
Instill in us to be hospitable that the whole church will enjoy. The Apostle Paul exemplified that Your people greet one another with a holy kiss.
-
CHRISTIAN JEWS
-
LORD, may we not forget to pray for the Christian Jews. Their trials with their lost loved ones must be much harder than ours, the Christian Gentiles.
-
NO DIVISIONS WANTED
-
LORD, we want to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. Help us to be vigilant and watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in our way that are contrary to the teaching we have learned from Your Word. You said such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery deceive the minds of naïve people. You even instruct to stay away from them. O LORD, we pray they repent.
-
THE FAITHFUL
-
FATHER GOD, we rejoice for those whose fidelity to Christ have stood the test. Oh, LORD, we want to be among them. We want to be obedient to You.
-
FOR THOSE SUFFERING
-
GOD OF PEACE, You will soon crush Satan under the feet of those in Your body that are suffering. We pray Your grace with each one.
-
GOD IS FAITHFUL
-
LORD, You are able to establish us in accordance to Your gospel--the message proclaimed about Jesus Christ--in keeping with the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by Your command.
-
ETERNAL GOD, we pray lost souls AND OUR LOST LOVED ONES might come to the obedience that comes from faith. GLORY TO YOU, THE ONLY WISE GOD FOREVER THROUGH JESUS CHRIST! Amen.
-
(From Romans 16)
-

-

MINISTER TO THE JEWS ALSO
-
LORD of the Harvest, send Your laborers to cover all regions. May Your people work as Your Spirit leads in assisting one another in the body. May the poor Christians not be forgotten and with pleasure contributions be given to their needs. May the Jews not be forgotten either for we owe them. For if the Gentiles have shared in the Jews' spiritual blessings, we owe it to the Jews to share with them material blessings. When we come together, may it be in the full measure of the blessing of Christ.
-
PRAYING FOR GOD'S MINISTERS
-
By our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit may we all join in the the struggle of praying for Your laborers, especially those that are in peril. Keep everyone safe from unbelievers. May Your people also accept and refresh one another that there be joy and peace with us all. In Jesus name, amen.

LORD, WE ARE HOLDING UP TO YOU IN PRAYER OUR LOST LOVED ONES AND PRAYING YOUR WORD IN ROMANS CHAPTER 15: 1-22
-
THE STRONG OUGHT TO BEAR THE FAILINGS OF THE WEAK
-
We agree with You that the strong ought to bear the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please our neighbors for THEIR good to BUILD them up. Even as Christ did not please Himself, but, as it is written:
-
“The insults of those who insult You have fallen on me.”
-
EVERYTHING THAT WAS WRITTEN IN THE PAST, WRITTEN TO TEACH US
-
Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide, we might have hope.
-
BIBLE PRAYER
-
Thank You LORD, that through the reading of Your Word You give us encouragement in times when we need to endure. We desire to have the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice We may glorify You, God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
-
ACCEPTING ONE ANOTHER
-
We accept one another as Christ accepted us in order to bring praise to You, LORD God. Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of Your truth so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify You for Your mercy.
-
As it is written:
-
“Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles;
“I will sing the praises of your name.”
“Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.”
Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples extol him.”
“The Root of Jesse will spring up,
one who will arise to rule over the nations;
in Him the Gentiles will hope.”

-
BIBLE PRAYER
-
God of hope, fill us with all joy and peace as we trust in You, so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
-
MINISTERS
-
LORD, we are also convinced that Your people in the LORD are:
-
Full of goodness,
Filled with knowledge
And competent to instruct one another
-
Thank You LORD for the grace given us to be ministers. Thank You for giving us the priestly duty of proclaiming Your gospel so that people You save might become sanctified by the Holy Spirit. We glorify in Jesus Christ in our service to You. We want to speak of what Christ has accomplished through us in leading others to obey You by what we have said and done. It is by the power of signs and wonders and through the power of Your Spirit. We want to fully proclaim the gospel of Christ where You have called us to be Your witnesses.

-
As it is written:

-
“Those who were not told about Him will see,
and those who have not heard will understand.”
-
PRAYER FOR OUR LOST LOVED ONES
--
We believe You will keep us filled with goodness and filled us with knowledge to be competent as instructors.
-
Help us to bear the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please our lost loved ones for THEIR good to BUILD them up. Even as Christ did not please Himself. Your Word has given us hope to believe that You are able to save them
-
LORD, help us and others in leading our lost loved ones to obey You by what we say and do.

-
LORD, give us and others the grace to be ministers to our lost loved ones. Send to them ministers, LORD, with the duty of proclaiming Your gospel. Save and sanctify our lost loved ones by the Holy Spirit. Glorify us in Jesus Christ in our service to You with the power of signs and wonders through the power of Your Spirit. We want for them to hear and believe the fully proclaimed gospel of Christ. Save them LORD, we pray.
-
God of hope, fill us with all joy and peace as we trust in You so that we may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
-
LORD we claim Your Word for our lost loved ones:
-

“Those who were not told about Him will see,
and those who have not heard will understand.”
In Jesus name, we pray, amen.

PRAYING FOR OUR LOST LOVED ONES ACCORDING TO ROMANS 14,
-

SUBJECT: DISPUTABLE MATTERS

-
FATHER GOD, WE COME TO YOU IN JESUS NAME AGREEING AND PRAYING TO YOU ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD IN ROMANS CHAPTER 14, KNOWING WE ARE PRAYING YOUR WILL AND YOUR WORD WILL NOT RETURN VOID, BUT IT WILL ACCOMPLISH YOUR PERFECT WILL.
-
GRACIOUS HEAVENLY FATHER. WE KNOW YOU SENT YOUR SON TO SAVE US FROM OUR SINS, AND WE ARE PRAYING FOR THE LOST, BEING FAITHFUL NOT TO NEGLECT OUR OWN JERUSALEM, PRAYING YOUR HOLY SPIRIT UPON US AS WE PRAY, AND THAT YOUR HOLY SPIRIT WILL CONVINCE OUR LOST LOVED ONES THAT THEY NEED TO BE SAVED FROM THEIR SINS, AND JESUS IS THE ONLY SAVIOR.
-
DISPUTABLE MATTERS - THE WEAK AND THE STRONG
-
TO EAT OR NOT TO EAT
-
We accept the ones whose faith is weak, not arguing with them over disputable matters, such as what one person’s faith allows them to eat or not.
-
You said peoples’ whose faith is weak eat only vegetables, and we should not judge nor treat them with contempt. Neither should people that only eat vegetables judge nor treat with contempt those that eat everything.

-
Your Holy Ghost convinces us to be fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. If a brother or sister is distressed because of what another eats, then that is no longer acting in love. By our eating, we should not destroy someone for whom Christ died. Therefore we should not let what we know is good be spoken of as evil.

-
Whoever eats meat does so unto You, for they give thanks to You; and whoever abstains does so unto You and gives thanks to You.

-
For You have accepted us, and who are we to judge Your servants. To You we stand or fall, and we will stand, for You are able to make us stand. Lord, we want our lost loved ones to stand also and be saved. Thank You for instructing us:

-
“For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit” -Romans 14:17
-
SACRED DAYS
-
LORD, another issue You touch in Romans 14 is the consideration of certain days that some people deem holy, and others do not, another disputable matter. One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. You said that what matters is a good conscious toward You, for whoever regards one day as special does so unto You.
-
DOING IT UNTO THE LORD
-
LORD, You tell us that none of us lives or dies for ourselves alone. If we live or die, we do it unto You. For this very reason Christ died and returned to life so that He might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
-
You admonish us not to judge our brother or sister, nor treat them with contempt. For we will stand before Your judgment seat. It is written:
-
“As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.”
-
So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to You, and we should stop passing judgment on one another, INSTEAD, we will make up our mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.
-
Anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to You and receives human approval.
-
AIM FOR MUTUAL EDIFICATION
-
Therefore we should make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
-
GIVING UP OUR RIGHTS OUT OF LOVE TO KEEP A BROTHER OR SISTER FROM STUMBLING
-
LORD, WE SHOULD NOT DESTROY YOUR WORK FOR THE SAKE OF FOOD. For all food is clean, but it is wrong for a person to eat any thing that causes someone else to stumble. It is better not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything else that will cause our brother or sister to fall.
-
CONCLUSION
-
So whatever we believe about these things, we agree to keep between ourselves and You.
-
CONDEMNATION

-
We are blessed for not condemning ourselves by what we approve. But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith, and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

-
PRAYER FOR LOST LOVED ONES
-
Father, help us, not to allow the devil to sidetract us from trying to reach out to our lost loved ones. The LORD Jesus gave us example of how He humbled Himself as a servant, being obedient all the way to the cross of Calvary that we might be saved.
-
Philippians 2:

3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,
4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
-
LORD, we want to have this same mindset that was in Christ, because we want our lost loved ones to be saved. You have given us a commission to spread Your Gospel and allow You to be light in our lives that others may see Jesus lifted up in the earth that He may draw people unto Himself and others be saved. Help us LORD, and save our lost loved ones. We pray in Jesus name, amen.
.

PRAYER FOR OUR LOST LOVED ONES FROM GETTING IN TROUBLE WITH THE LAW (from Romans 13)-
Submission to Governing Authorities

-

Father we pray for ourselves and for our lost loved ones, to be subject to the governing authorities according to Your authority--Your Word-- in Romans 13. For there is no authority except that which You have established. Your Word says that the authorities that exist have been established by You.

-

We don't want our lost loved ones to get in trouble with the law; rebelling against the authority is rebelling against what You have instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. To be free from fear of the one in authority and to be commended is to do what is right. For the one in authority is Your servant for our good, but the one that does wrong should be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are Your servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. We don't want our lost loved ones to get in trouble with the law, so we pray for them that they submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment, but also as a matter of conscience.

-

Taxes

-

LORD, we want to fully obey You in reference to obeying the law also in paying taxes, for the authorities are Your servants, who give their full time to governing. We must give to everyone what we owe them, be they taxes, revenue, and if respect, respect, and if honor, honor, knowing we are doing it unto You, just as we would a mean employer, we do our best job because we are doing it unto You.

-

Love Fulfills the Law

-

LORD help us and our lost loved ones to pay all our debts, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.

-

The commandments

-

By Your Spirit convince/remind us and our lost loved ones to obey Your commandments:

-

"You shall not commit adultery,"

-

"You shall not murder,"

-

"You shall not steal,"

-

"You shall not covet,"

-

And whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command:

-

"Love your neighbor as yourself."

-

We pray for us and for our lost loved ones to love our neighbor as ourselves, for love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

-

The Day Is Near

-

LORD, we pray for our own sanctification and are praying for our lost loved ones' salvation, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for everyone to wake up from slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed, and the night is nearly over; the day is almost here.

-

For us believers and for our lost loved ones, we desire that we put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light: to behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, NOT IN SEXUAL IMMORALITY and debauchery, not in dissension and jealously. Rather, help us Father, to clothe ourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and not to be thinking about how to gratify the desire of the flesh.

-

In Jesus Name we pray Father, giving You thanks.

(Prayer from Romans 13)

-

FATHER GOD, IN JESUS NAME, to be Your faithful witnesses, we need people to see Jesus in our lives. We want to be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone because this is right before You.
-
A Living Sacrifice
-
We want the true worship, in spirit and in truth, to offer our body as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to You. We do not want to conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our mind to be able to test and approve what is Your will--Your good, pleasing and perfect will.
-
Humble Service in the Body of Christ
-
Also LORD, we want to keep that zeal according to Your truth, and spiritual fervor as we serve You.

Love in Action

-
Lord we want to humbly serve You by treating others right and not thinking of ourselves more highly than we ought. We want to receive godly judgment in accordance with the faith You have distributed to each of us. We know Your body has many members, and we do not have all the same function, but we belong to Your same body. We have different gifts, according to the grace given each of us, to serve You as You have willed to give encouragement, to give generously, to show mercy, to be diligent and cheerful in what You've called us to do.
-
LORD, Jesus said that His disciples would be known for our love for each other which must be sincere and to be devoted to one another in love. You also want for us to hate what is evil, and to cling to what is good, to honor another above ourselves. We want to share with Your people who are in need, and practice hospitality. You want for us to live in harmony with one another, and not be proud, or be conceited, but be willing to assoicate with people of low position. You want for us to rejoice with those who rejoice, mourn with those who mourn, and this we do because You Who lives in us is love, and he that loves is born of You.
-
LORD, further, we know we should bless those who persecute us; bless and not curse, and not repay anyone evil for evil and not take revenge.
-
For it is written:
-
"It is mine to avenge, I will repay," says the Lord.
-
And,
-
"If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."
-
We do not want to be overcome by evil but overcome evil with good. If it is possible, as far as it depends on us, we desire to live at peace with everyone
-
We know the joy of the Lord is our strength, therefore, we want to remain joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
-
LORD, we thank You for Your Word of wise counsel that we may be used by You to win souls. We continue to lift up to You our lost loved ones for salvation. Thank You, Father, in Jesus name, amen.
-
(praying from Romans 12)

PRAYER FOR THE ISRAELITES AND OUR LOST LOVED ONES

-
Heavenly Father, You did not reject Your people the Israelites, and You have not rejected our lost loved ones. There is a remnant of the Israelites chosen by grace that have not bowed the knee to Baal. The others were hardened, as it is written:
-
“God gave them a spirit of stupor,
eyes that could not see
and ears that could not hear,
to this very day.”
-
And David says:
-
“May their table become a snare and a trap,
a stumbling block and a retribution for them.
May their eyes be darkened so they cannot see,
and their backs be bent forever.”
-
They stumbled so as to fall, but not beyond recovery. Not at all! Rather, because of their transgression, salvation has come to the Gentiles to make Israel envious. But if their transgression means riches for the world, and their loss means riches for the Gentiles, how much greater riches will their full inclusion bring! O praise You God, that’s how You brought us in and there is also hope for our lost loved ones. Help us Lord, that we be used as Your ministers to bring our lost loved ones in.
-
As for the Israelites, if their rejection brought reconciliation to the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead? We pray for them and their salvation. We pray for a holy root in them, so that the branches will also be holy.
-
Some of the branches have been broken off, and we the Gentiles, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root.
-
We do not consider ourselves to be superior to the Israelite branches, considering that we do not support the root, but the root supports us. The Israelites were broken off as branches because of unbelief, but we stand by faith. We are humbled and tremble, for if You did not spare the natural branches, You will not spare us either. We thank You for Your kindness. There will be no more sternness if the Israelites do not persist in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for You are able to graft them in again, the natural branches into their own olive tree!
-
It is a mystery, and we are humbled that Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in, and in this way all Israel will be saved.
-
As it is written:
“The deliverer will come from Zion;
He will turn godlessness away from Jacob.
And this is my covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”
-
As far as the gospel is concerned, the Israelites are enemies for our sake, but as far as the election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs, for Your gifts and Your calling are irrevocable. We were at one time disobedient to You, and have now received mercy. They too have now become disobedient in order that they too may now receive mercy as a result of Your mercy to us. For You have bound everyone over to disobedience so that You may have mercy on us all. Father God may our lost loved ones come in too by Your mercy and grace.
-
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of You, God!
How unsearchable Your judgments.
-
For from You and through You and for You are all things.
To You be the glory forever! Amen.

(From Romans 11)

WHEN GOD RAN
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-p5I1ySPhg
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5TATkbJSBk
-
Almighty God, the great I am
Immovable rock, omnipotent, powerful, awesome Lord
Victorious warrior, commanding King of Kings
Mighty conqueror, and the only time
the only time I ever saw Him run
-
Was when He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said,
“Son do you know I still love you?”
-He caught me by surprise when God ran
-
The day I left home I knew I’d broken His heart
And I wondered then if things could ever be the same
Then one night I remembered His love for me
And down that dusty road ahead I could see
It was the only time – it was the only time I ever saw Him run
And then He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said,
“Son do you know I still love you?”
He caught me by surprise as He brought me to my knees
When God ran – I saw Him run to me
-
I was so ashamed, all alone and so far away
But now I know He’s been waiting for this day
I saw Him run to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice I felt His love for me again
He ran to me, He took me in His arms
Held my head to His chest, said “My son’s come home again”
Lifted my face, wiped the tears from my eyes
With forgiveness in His voice He said, “Son”, He called me Son
He said, “Son do you know I still love you?”
He ran to me and then I ran to Him
When God ran
